Save Lives on National Dog Fighting Day

national dog fighting day

April 8 in National Dog Fighting Day. Support the ASPCA and tell the DOL to pursue more cases of animal abuse like this!

GetTough_FB-Cover-Image_DogToday is National Dog Fighting Day! Ask  the Justice Department to pursue more dog fighting.

Dog fighting was made a federal crime, but it still exists. Dogs are encouraged to fight until one is severely wounded or killed. There are often bait dogs involved who have their mouths taped shut so they cannot defend themselves. Here in California, a pit bull was recently rescued weighing 33 pounds, with multiple fractures, bite wounds and internal injuries, kept in a tiny cage.

Please sign this petition from the ASPCA to help saves more dogs from this horrific abuse.

My kitties and I have signed the petition! Dog fighting is horrible. Hopefully awareness campaigns like this will raise enough of an outcry that lawmakers will take note.
